Eligibility Criteria of APSC PWD Assam Recruitment
Educational Qualification:
- The candidate must have a Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from any technical institute recognized by the Government.
- The Diploma must be a Regular course. Diploma courses obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
Local Language Proficiency: Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1 (one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Age Limit: The candidate must be between 18 and 40 years of age as of 1st January 2024.
Age Relaxation: The upper age relaxation will vary according to different categories, as detailed below.

The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Class-X/ Class-Xll examination Admit Card/ Pass Certificate/ Marksheet issued by a recognized Central/ State Board/Council where Age/Date of birth (DOB) is clearly reflected. No other document shall be accepted in lieu thereof for Age proof.
Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Residentship:
a. The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
b. The candidate must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate as proof of residency.
The Small Family Norms: The candidate has to submit a declaration regarding "The Small Family Norms" in Form - A at the time of applying for the post.
